Chocolate Cake II
Ingredients
- 1/2 c oil
- 1/2 c buttermilk substitute
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 c boiling water
- 1 c sugar
- 1 1/4 c sorghum flour
- 1 1/2 tsp xanthan gum
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 T baking cocoa
Directions
- Beat together oil, buttermilk, egg and vanilla.
- Sift dry ingredients and add, beating well.
- Add 1/2 c. boiling water.
- Beat till smooth.
- Spray 8" square pan with vegetable oil spray.
- Pour cake batter into pan.
- Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes.
- Cool.
- Frost with favorite frosting, if desired.
