Homemade Sorbet
We use a Donvier Sorbertiere - ice cream maker. You keep the metal insert in the freezer.
Ingredients
- one package frozen fruit
- sweetener to taste
- water, rice milk, or Vance's
- add a little lemon juice or extract for extra tartness
- cinnamon or similar spice if desired
Directions
- put ingredients in the food processor
- process to a slushy liquid
- place in ice cream maker and follow manufacturer's instructions for freezing
The kids love to help - it is a great family activity. We think it tastes better than Vanilla Toffuti.
