Homemade Sorbet

We use a Donvier Sorbertiere - ice cream maker. You keep the metal insert in the freezer.

Ingredients
  • one package frozen fruit
  • sweetener to taste
  • water, rice milk, or Vance's
  • add a little lemon juice or extract for extra tartness
  • cinnamon or similar spice if desired
Directions
  1. put ingredients in the food processor
  2. process to a slushy liquid
  3. place in ice cream maker and follow manufacturer's instructions for freezing

The kids love to help - it is a great family activity. We think it tastes better than Vanilla Toffuti.
