Braised Pork Chops with Apples

 

Ingredients
  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 oz. Hains safflower margarine or safe alternative
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 3 fluid oz. water
  • 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
  • 2 tsp. Wheat free Tamari sauce or safe worschester sauce
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored and cut into eighths
  • 2 onions, cut into rings
  • salt and pepper
  • fresh parsley to garnish
Directions
  1. Melt the margarine or alternative and oil together in a large skillet.
  2. Season the meat with salt and pepper and then brown on both sides in the melted butter and oil.
  3. Add the water, thyme and Tamari sauce and cook for 10 minutes, turning once.
  4. Add the apples and onions.
  5. Reduce heat.
  6. Cover and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  7. Serve garnished with parsley.
