Braised Pork Chops with Apples
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops
- 1 oz. Hains safflower margarine or safe alternative
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 3 fluid oz. water
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
- 2 tsp. Wheat free Tamari sauce or safe worschester sauce
- 2 apples, peeled, cored and cut into eighths
- 2 onions, cut into rings
- salt and pepper
- fresh parsley to garnish
Directions
- Melt the margarine or alternative and oil together in a large skillet.
- Season the meat with salt and pepper and then brown on both sides in the melted butter and oil.
- Add the water, thyme and Tamari sauce and cook for 10 minutes, turning once.
- Add the apples and onions.
- Reduce heat.
- Cover and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
- Serve garnished with parsley.
